Lynette L. Dornton, Au.D., received both her Bachelors of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Clinical Doctorate in Audiology from the University of South Florida. Her extensive research background adds a unique component to the Audiology by Accent team. Dr. Dornton's areas of expertise include comprehensive hearing and vestibular (balance) assessments as well as aural rehabilitation, hearing aid counseling, fitting, and repair. In addition to providing direct patient care, she also serves as the coordinator of Audiology by Accent’s Vestibular (balance) and Electrophysiology clinics. Dr. Dornton is licensed to practice in the state of Florida and is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association as well as the American Academy of Audiology. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, and spoiling her three adorable nieces, Zoe , Katilyn, and Julia.

Ryan Baker is a clinical audiologist whose areas of focus include adult and pediatric diagnostic audiometry, tinnitus evaluation and management, adult amplification, auditory electrophysiology, aural rehabilitation counseling, hearing conservation including musician plugs and monitors, and assistive listening technologies. Dr. Baker joined Accent Audiology in 2011. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA),the Florida Academy of Audiology (FLAA) and a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). He currently serves on the AAA/HLAA "Get in the Hearing Loop" task force and is an advocate for hearing loop placement in public venues and homes. A Florida native, Dr. Baker graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Communication Studies from Florida State University in 1998 and graduated from the University of Florida as a Doctor of Audiology in 2007. Dr. Baker worked as a clinical assistant professor with the University of Florida from 2007 to 2010. He was selected as a University of Florida Outstanding Young Alumni in 2010. Before pursuing his doctorate Ryan worked for CNN as a satellite news gatherer in Atlanta. He enjoys quality time with his wife, Katharine, and their 2 children, Evan and Lila, loves music of all types, plays piano with a local band and tries to golf as time permits.
Dr. Hargreaves was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and graduated from the Isidore Newman High School. She then attended college at Stanford University in California. She graduated with a bachelor of science degree in biology with honors, completing a research project in molecular biology and genetics.
After college, Dr. Hargreaves attended medical school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She then moved to Minneapolis to complete an otolaryngology residency at the University of Minnesota. During her residency, Dr. Hargreaves won the TAP Book Award, selected by the ENT faculty for her outstanding clinical performance. In addition, she received the Paparella Otologic Award for excellence in otologic research, and was awarded a competitive CORE committee research grant from the American Rhinologic Society. During her time in Minnesota, she also obtained an MBA with a concentration in healthcare finance.
Following her residency, she was selected for a two year fellowship in Otology and Neurotology at the prestigious University of Pittsburgh, consistently ranked within the top five ENT departments in the nation. Here she honed her clinical and surgical skills, becoming an expert at medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the ear. Dr. Hargreaves has co-authored several book chapters, and has published original research in numerous medical journals. She has also lectured at local, regional, and national meetings, and has served on the Women in Otolaryngology Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
After completing her medical training, Dr. Hargreaves moved to Gainesville to be near her family and to enjoy Florida's warm climate and natural beauty. She joined Accent Physicians in September of 2008 and has built a practice specializing in disorders of the ear. As Gainesville's only private practice neurotologist, Dr. Hargreaves can offer comprehensive treatment for hearing loss, dizziness, balance disorders, chronic ear infections, as well as other otologic problems. She has expertise above and beyond a general otolaryngologist in diagnosing and treating otologic conditions, and performs a range of specialized procedures including stapedectomy, revision surgery for chronic ear disease, and cochlear implantation. Dr. Hargreaves also works closely with Accent's experienced audiologists to develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.
Dr. Hargreaves is a compassionate, dedicated physician who takes the time to listen to her patients, and understands the significant impact that hearing and balance disorders can have on a patient's quality of life. She is committed to providing the best possible care for her patients, realizing that the best outcomes are obtained when the patient is empowered to take an active role in his or her treatment.
In her spare time, Dr. Hargreaves is an experienced SCUBA diver, having traveled as far as the Indian Ocean to dive with whale sharks and manta rays. Dr. Hargreaves is married to a Navy veteran, and she and her husband have a young son.
Christine Respeto has been a Gainesville resident since 1996. She graduated from the University of Florida with honors in December of 2000 with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She began working at Accent Physician Specialists in March of 2001 and has been a fixture in the audiology department ever since. She manages the administrative tasks of the audiology department, performs all tasks related to diagnostic testing, and now counsels patients on the benefits of hearing aids as well. She is currently pursuing licensure as a Hearing Instrument Specialist, and looks forward to beginning the training program very soon.
Barbara Roberts comes to us as a long time resident of Gainesville, being married to former Police Chief, Courtnay Roberts and raising their sons here. She recently retired from 25 years as a Realtor here with Trend Realty. She has been very involved in the community dealing with a lot of people and was an avid golfer.
Her experience working with people makes her the perfect fit for our office. She schedules the appointments for the Audiologists, orders and gets supplies as needed and assists the Audiologists. Her voice is the one you usually speak to when you call and the one you see when you come to our office. She is friendly, efficient, listens well and loves the job of working with our patients.
