David Kireta, PA-C
Originally from Pennsylvania, Mr. Kireta graduated from Penn State University in 1979. He went on to perform 20 years active duty service as an officer in U.S. Navy & Coast Guard. During this time, he completed specialized education and performed as an airborne mission commander of the Navy E-2C Hawkeye deployed on the Navy's newest aircraft carrier the USS CARL VINSON (CVN-70). In the Coast Guard, Mr. Kireta directed flights in support of interdiction of illegal importation of narcotics into the U.S and federal response of environmental disasters involving oil & hazardous material spills.
Mr. Kireta changed careers in 2003 when he attended Barry University's 28-month Masters level Physician Assistant program. He graduated in 2005 and was employed in Family Medicine for one year before deciding to specialize in Endocrinology in 2006. Since then, he has practiced medicine under the supervision of the Endocrinologists at Accent Physician Specialists. His primary focus involves the treatment of Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, insulin pump therapy, and the treatment of highly insulin resistant diabetic patients. He also routinely evaluates & treats patients with disorders involving thyroid, parathyroid, lipids, osteoporsis and hypogonadism.

Thyroid nodules and cysts are measured and detailed descriptions of their characteristics are recorded. For thyroid cancer patients, we perform a review of the surrounding lymph nodes to help determine if the cancer has spread to these lymph nodes. Our exams are performed by our thyroid specialists and endocrinologists. This allows immediate evaluation, interpretation, and discussion with the patient incorporating the patient's clinical situation.
