Surgery is done in one of several locations. Minor procedures which require only local anesthetic are usually done in our office treatment rooms. If the procedure is more involved and requires anesthesia by and IV or by gas, then these procedures are done in an operating room. Dr. Mast uses Accent's office-based OR suite which is fully accredited by AAASF for most cosmetic procedures and some procedures covered by insurance. Only board-certified anesthesiologists provide anesthesia in the Accent OR. Most insurance-covered procedures done without staying overnight are done at the North Florida Surgical Pavilion, while surgery that requires one or more nights in the hospital are done at North Florida Regional Medical Center.
